Copernicus Master in Digital Earth Awards

The CDE Programme Board has jointly developed and designed two distinctive awards which shall recognize graduated MSc students of the Erasmus Mundus Copernicus Master in Digital Earth programme.

Best Student Award

The specialization track student, who excelled in exams, presentations, workshop, summer schools and other activities, and who enhances the visibility of the EMJMD, will be awarded as the “Best Student” for the intake. Main evaluation criteria: Academic excellence, Copernicus relevance, student engagement and outreach. Performance for both study years is important. Nominations by Programme Board, joint decision by Programme Board members, award during PLUS graduation ceremony in July, semester 4.

Special Achievement in Digital Earth Award

The “Special Achievement in Digital Earth Award” honours either exceptional scientific development contributions in the domains Earth Observation, Geoinformatics and Digital Earth or contributions to the worldwide visibility of the Copernicus Master in Digital Earth programme. Nominations by Programme Board or MSc thesis supervisors, 1 student per intake/cohort, joint decision by Programme Board members, award during PLUS graduation ceremony in July, semester 4.
