The University of Salzburg’s Department of Geoinformatics, and coordinator of this Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM), has been recently awarded the Copernicus Ambassador label as a member of the EU Space Networks. “As Copernicus Ambassadors, numerous experts in EU Copernicus and Earth observation work at the department. Through research and teaching, the faculty increases the visibility and use of EU Copernicus data, information and services. As a member of the European space networks, the department integrates EU Copernicus data into the curriculum of the EMJM Copernicus Master in Digital Earth, but we also transfer earth observation research into the teaching of Bachelor’s and other Master’s programmes,” emphasises Stefan Lang,  Dean of the Faculty of Digital & Analytical Sciences, EU Copernicus contact for the department and EMJM academic lead.
