Open to young graduates and early-career professionals

The Master of Science programme is designed to help – and fund – recent graduates and those starting their careers to advance their careers in the fields of Earth Observation (EO) and Geoinformation (GI). Participants gain practical scientific experience at leading European universities, supported by work placements and blended learning opportunities.

The selection committee does not necessarily expect extensive professional experience. Rather, the focus is on whether a recent graduate can demonstrate the necessary – geospatial – foundational knowledge before the start of the programme. As a recent graduate, you are more likely to demonstrate this through your Bachelor’s degree and academic transcript, completed projects and your BSc thesis, work placements and additional courses than through many years of professional experience.

Already holding a Master’s degree, or being currently enrolled in one, does not necessarily prevent a candidate from applying to the EMJM programme. Applicants may apply as self-funded students.
